Chemistry of Neutro TCCA 90
After hydrolysis in water, Neutro TCCA 90 will be converted to hypochorous acid (HOCCL), which has strong microbial activity. The hydrolysis by‐product, cyanuric acid, acts as a stabilizer and prevents conversion of hypochlorous acid into hypochlorite ion (OCL) owing to sunshine and heat, which has low microbial activity.

How To use TCCA 90 in Swimming Pool
Recommendations for Pool Treatment
The most important water quality parameter to maintain in a swimming pool is the free chlorine level. The free chorine concentration should always be over 1.0 ppm (mg/L) to keep bacteria under control. We normally recommend about 3 – 4 ppm, as this level is required to control both bacteria and algae. The higher level is particularly recommended if Neutro TCCA 90 is being used.
The other important water quality parameters to be maintained are pH and total alkalinity. The pH should be kept in the range of 7.2 – 7.6. Lower PH lead to corrosion of piping and attacks pools walls (plaster, tile grout, etc.) Higher PH reduces the effectiveness of the chlorine. This is also the PH which is best for the swimmers. Neutro TCCA 90 (TCCA 90) is acid, so over the time it can slowly decrease the pH. The pH should be checked routinely and if it drops below 7.2 , some soda ash (sodium carbonate) should be added to raise the pH back to the recommended level. The total alkalinity should be maintained in the range of 80 – 125 ppm. Alkalinity (also known as pH buffer) limits how fast the pH changes when acid or caustic are added to the water. Soda ash also adds alkalinity.
